Summary:

The book follows a young teenager, named Tessa, who came to London to see her brother but ended up being kidnaped and discovering that she has unhuman abilities. She ends up meeting the shadow hunters.

Strengths:

The book is a fantasy novel and the creatures that are introduced in it are so fun to follow and learn about. The concept of their whole world is unique and the people she meets have different traditions.

Weaknesses:

The book had many characters entering the plot in a very short amount of time, which was a bit hard to memorize them all quickly.

My Opinion:

I think that the book needs better reading strategies, but overall it has a plot that gets you hooked up with the events till the end and I enjoyed it.
