Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney

Summary:

This book is about a boy named Greg. Greg just started middle school, and he is scared of all the other kids, since they were all bigger and taller than him, this definitely made him feel weak. In this book, you can see Greg’s journey and the way he learned to deal with problems that faced him each day.

Strengths

The book was written in a a “ diary way “. Reading it felt like reading someone’s actual diary which made it really fun and unique. The way the book presents each character in the story is really good, it gave each character a personality of its own.

Weaknesses:

The story was so un original. Originality in a story of a book in the most important thing in my opinion. The book just showed a boy going through middle school. This is a plot which you can find EVERYWHERE.

Opinion:

I personally like it, although the plot was un original, I really liked the way the book was written ( written as a journal) in my opinion, this is the ONLY reason I liked the book, I think if I was the writer, I would have written the story a tiny bit different.
