Summary:
It is about a 14 years old girl called Enola, she is a sister of a very famous detective, Sherlock Holmes. On her birthday, her mother disappeared and that takes Enola to London to search for her mother, with the different clues her mother left. But, as soon she arrived, somehow she was involved in a kidnapping case of a boy called Marquess.
Strengths:
I really loved how Enola's character was a very strong, intelligent and a young independent girl. I loved how she tried to decode and figure our her mother's clues and how she played the role of a detective to investigate the case by herself. Also, I loved how the writer described the 19th century of England beautifully.
Weaknesses:
I didn't like the ending of Enola's journey in London. I didn't expect, after what she had been through and did in attempt to meet her mother again, that it ends with her not founding her mother. Also, her only 2 brothers didn't really care about her and left her alone.
My Opinion:
I loved the book so much and recommend it to everyone to read it. It's really enjoyable for all ages, specially for someone who likes adventure stories. Also, there is a movie for the book called Enola Holmes, but I liked the book more than the movie, but it was fun to watch.
