Summary:

Enola Holmes: the case of the missing marquess, is a story about a girl called Enola Holmes that is part of an odd family, her brothers Mycroft and Sherlock Holmes and her mother Eudoria. Her brothers left home a few years after she was born so it was always her and her mother, they did truly amazing and exciting things together. Until, one day, Enola woke up and couldn’t find her mother so she contacted her brothers to help find her mother. But instead, her brother Mycroft wanted to control her life and turn her into a modern lady- so, as the explorer and mystery solver, Enola she escaped home and went looking for her mother. Going through a lot of obstacles, she meets a boy that accompanies her in her journey to find her mother. While finding out her mother could be dangerous she continues to try and find her.

Strengths:

It was a thriller and mysterious, it was very exciting to read and live through. My favourite part of the story would be when Enola escapes home and Sherlock finds out and communicates with her, but also being a good brother. The story was very different and I enjoyed reading through the quest that Enola goes through to find her mom.

Weaknesses:

The time frame that the story line was set in wasn’t my favourite, because it was not an interesting time and it was kind of boring. That's the only thing that I would change. The boy she meets later that joins her on her journey seemed very annoying from the description and too proud to admit anything wrong to himself. Mycroft, Enola's other brother, was very bossy and controlling so I didn’t like his character either.

My Opinion:

I personally thought that the story was amazing, it was thrilling and exciting. The story kept me locked in to know if Enola would find her mother or not. I haven’t read a lot of old times, mystery books but this one made me intrigued to read more of this genre.
