Summary:
The novel, Matilda by the author Roald Dahl, is a story about a little girl who is remarkably bright for her age. Sadly Matilda grew up with parents who neglected her and a family who didn't understand her and often treated her badly. On her first day of school her teacher Miss Honey notices her gift and tells her parents about it thinking they would be amazed and proud but that was not the case, after various hardships Miss Honey eventually adopted Maitilda and they lived together happily.
Strengths:
It was a very interesting and inspirational story which teaches you a good message that evil people will always get what they deserve and good will always triumph over evil. I also really liked the characters they were very well written and likable especially Matilda.
Weaknesses:
I would say that some of it's weaknesses is that there were some parts that felt unnecessary and didn't add any element to the story in my opinion. I also think that there were some parts that were boring, but overall I would say it was pretty good. I think I would leave out some parts of the story as it felt unnecessary.
My Opinion:
I really liked the story because it was very enjoyable and taught me various useful life lessons that I can use in my everyday life. The theme of the story got me quickly intrigued into completing it and finding out how it was going to end.
