Rating: 5/5
Summary:
The story talks about a therapists who is talking about her experience with her 3 patients and their struggle in life. She also includes her struggles alongside going to her own therapist for help and comfort.
Strengths:
The fact that the story was based on actual people and not on fictional characters makes it more believable and makes us connect to the patients emotionally. Each person in this book has a different story that gets unraveled throughout the chapters.
Weaknesses:
The author stalls a lot in this book, she focuses on the main characters life (which isn't that interesting) and becomes boring and repetitive in the first 2/3 of the book.
My Opinion:
Although the book became boring half way through, the author started focusing less on herself and more on the patients, which made the last 2/3 of the book incredible and worth the wait. Every character starts opening more and more to the therapist and becomes more vulnerable. Their stories nearly made me cry, and some where so surreal that I felt their pain.
