Rating: 4/5
Summary:
Five kids walk into detention one day, Bronwyn, Addy, Nate, and Cooper, and Simon. Each of the high school students has secrets that they would do anything to hide. but only four survive. How far would they go to protect themselves?
Strengths
One of Us is Lying delves into the thoughts and personalities of each suspect, keeping the reader guessing until the end. Adding high school drama in a murder mystery is something normal to others, but to me it changes my perspective with every author.
Weaknesses:
The book tackles some of the most difficult ethical issues that arise from the online world. Which could trigger some people that suffer from depression, isolation and any other activities.
My Opinion:
I especially enjoyed the depth of the characters' perspectives. The second thing that caught my attention was the word murder. I love murder mysteries. I personally don't like thinking into things or events, however if we're talking about a book filled with thought-provoking mysteries then I'm in. This book is absolutely stunning. I would recommend it to anyone.
