Rating: 5/5
Summary:
Smile is a graphic novel about a girl named Raina Telgemeier who knocks out her two front teeth after a race contested by her family. Afterwards, Raina has to go through a lot of dental care.
Strengths:
I would consider this book one of the best books I have read this year. I liked that the book talked about dental drama, friendship and family. I would give this book 5 stars because of its amazing plot. The plot develops at just the right pace.
Weaknesses:
This book made me truly smile, in addition, the novel is nice the way it is. Since, it stayed true to the original story. I felt like this book addressed the topics spot-on.
My Opinion:
I read this book because I enjoy graphic novels. Anyways, I can relate to Raina since I had to do an urgent surgery back in 2011 when I was 7 years old because I fell off the TV cabinet while I was trying to grab my ipod.
