The Collector, by John Fowles

Summary of the Story:

An uneducated adult man, with a hobby of collecting butterflies and photography, develops an obsession with a beautiful stranger. Hoping that if he kidnaps her she will grow to love him back.

My Opinion of the Story:

I loved this book so much, I can't say that enough, its so stunningly unsettling with the way the main character reasoned and justified his actions throughout the book. And the metaphor of him collecting beautiful creatures such as the butterflies and his object of obsession and putting them on display for himself.

Would I Recommend this Book?

Yes absolutely! Its such a good read and it’ll be worth the time you spend reading it in one sitting.
