Rating: 5/5

Summary:

The Last Bookshop in London is an interesting historical fiction novel set against the backdrop of WWII in England. The magnificent novel by Madeline Martin is a meaningful and sentimental letter of love to books and bookshops together and a tribute to the ability of tales to support us even in our darkest hours.

Strengths:

The characters are described perfectly in addition to the story scenes. Also, the historical overview is notable and described in a heartbreaking way. Finally, the book also holds a strong power, the power of literature, which is very important.

Weaknesses:

There were no weaknesses, although there are some parts of stories that made me feel sad, such as how people of England managed to survive in the dangerous world war.

My Opinion:

I love historical fiction, so it was a good read. This novel was outstanding. I just admired all the characters and the scenario was absolutely insane. This story holds in Second World War and it was filled with incredible descriptions which makes you feel like you are apart of the story.
