Summary:

THE MAZE RUNNER probably one of the best books I have ever read in my life, ok bare with me this story revolves around kids who were send down into a place where the only way out is by solving the maze. They send new kids every once in while, this time the kid that they sent was pretty smart. He was not happy that he was stuck in the maze, so he wanted to go with some of the runners, which are the only people who can enter the maze to discover or try and figure out how to get out. They have been doing this for the past 4 years or so, to be a runner you have to be able to run fast and think fast. He was pretty good, so he went and from that one trip they discovered more then what they have discovered in the past 4 years. They knew he was up to no good in a good way though, they discover some creatures and maybe a way out, but were not sure- they had to risk it. In the morning they went, they have to get out of the maze by the night because it closes at night and it re-forms its shape. This means that they will have to make a whole new plan, so they headed out. Everything was good but then a creature came, it ate one of there friends and they had to run. They could not look back or they will die. Once they arrived outside the maze they discovered that they where in the middle of the desert. They continued to travel; they barely had food and they needed to find cover or else they will die in the sand storm. There is a part two of the book.

Strengths:

I think what I liked is the way they presented the story, it was a genius idea. I don't think I would have even through of it in my mind, also the details that they described in the book were amazing; it felt like you where in that maze and you are trapped. They used a very good technique in trying to make us feel like we heard the sound. I loved reading the book at night it made me feel mysterious. I think what inspired me is the main character was so brave and strong any one who will read this book will want to be like him, in my point of view. Also, they where working together like a team even though there was some fighting, but it was under control.

Weaknesses:

What I didn't like is the small kid dies in the book- I wish that they all had survived and lived happily ever after. There is also another thing I didn't like the way they made the book like 5 parts- I think if it was a little less, like 2 books, I think it would have been better. And lastly, I think the ending was kind of lame - If the had made me more exited, like an action at the end, so that I can be more thrilled to read the second book - That would have been WAY better.

My Opinion:

I actually agreed with the author, I was totally with the whole idea of the book, it was amazing. It has thrill, adventure and action. I think these two genres work together. The characters were also equally disturbed, they all had there own personality - some where funny, some serious, some smart, and for some, every person who read the book hated them. But, every book has to have an evil villain, overall I think I completely agree.
