Summary:
The book is about 5 kids in a hospital with different cases and different ages/genders. It is about their adventure, when the clock strikes midnight, in making each other's dreams comes true. Even if it was ridiculous or impossible; under the name of "The Midnight Gang" that was created by an unknown kid who has been in the hospital in the children ward for a long time. The kids try and sneak away at midnight to different wards in the hospital, without the one in charge of the children's ward knowing.
Strengths:
I liked how the writer didn't focus just on one character and their development, he focused on all the characters and his writings were just dragging my attention more with each word. The story inspired me to find happiness and try to make my dreams come true even if I am in my worst shape.
Weaknesses:
I didn't like how in the story they put someone who doesn't like children in charge of the children's ward, but that only made the story even more alluring. Even if I could change something, I don't think I would be able to make the book more interesting than it is.
My Opinion:
To me, the story was so interesting and relatable. I would always feel as if I am locked in someplace and not able to achieve my dreams, but this book showed me that even though the kids were hospitalized they had dreams to bring to life. I agree with the message the author was trying to send, which is to dream and make my dreams come true even in my worst days.
