The Midnight Library by Matt Haig

Updated: Mar 16, 2021

Rating: 5/5

Summary:

This novel is about a girl called Nora. Who is tired of life where she reached a level of depression of ending her life. But thankfully, one night she went to a library, where she found different ways to live life instead of choosing death. That means that books are the spotlight of her new life.

Strengths:

This book will really make you question yourself about the life you live and that you have to make sure that their is a reason why you are living right now. Also, by all the philosophical questions the writer asks throughout the story will remind you that your life is meaningful.

Weaknesses:

Ummm, really I couldn't think of something that I didn't like in the novel. But, maybe the writer didn't focus enough on Nora's character or on other characters, such as Mrs. Elm the Librarian. Instead he focused on the plot more than he should have. Which was a bad strategy, for me at least.

My Opinion:

I really recommend this amazing book to someone who wants to have a purpose in their life and really needs a power book to inspire them and remind them that they are living for a reason and have the answers to what it means to live a fulfilling life.
