Rating: 5/5
Summary:
The book is about the a deal made by two magicians where they decided to train two little kids (Celia and Marco) into magicians and make them fight each other later to see who will win. One of the magicians students was his daughter and they both grew up joining a circus and fighting against each other without knowing who their opponent was and actually ended up falling in love.
Strengths:
It's written in such a mesmerizing way and it full of detailed description about everything, it was focused a lot of the circus interior and exterior and the unique talents and places within it. The main character have a unique personality that makes you link to her easily.
Weaknesses:
I guess what made it a bit hard to read are the slow plot, especially at the start of the book it was hard not to get distracted, the characters were introduced in a short amount of time which also made it harder to keep up with them.
My Opinion:
I really enjoyed it, it was such a unique concept and honestly I enjoyed reading and experiencing the plot from many point of view and the ending was surprising but I wasn't disappointed at all because I had expected that one of them would actually die in order for the other to win the game.
