Summary:

The book tells the struggle of a mother and three sibling after their father was falsely accused of being a spy. In this book we can see Peter, Bobbie and Phyllis adventures and making friends in the new village they had to move to we also get see the characters during hardship.

Strengths

It had the everything a book needs, it was exciting and hopeful, it had happy endings yet it leaves you hanging on a thread at the the end, the book had everything: it included rebellions, wars, modern technology, everything I look for in a book.

Weaknesses:

This story was really inspiring especially when we see the mother struggle without giving up. I am also really fond of the fact that the reader gets to read the book from the kids perspective instead of the mother’s. Another strength in Railway Children is the characters development throughout the chapters.

Opinion:

A weakness in this story was the happy events that just piling up staking, it was nice to see happy events but toward the end of the story, bit it sort of made it unrealistic . Another weakness was how easy being happy was in this book, which also made it unrealistic.
