Summary:

In a dystopian kingdom called Illea there held a selection process where the prince, the next heir to the throne will be choosing his future bride and the next queen of Illea. Maxon the prince will meet a lovely girl named America Singer and they weren't fond of each other at first but as we go along the books they will gradually fall in love. Also through this journey they will be facing obstacles like a secret lover and terrorists that crash into the palace to destroy and and try to get what they came for. The events will truly attract you like a magnet.

Strengths

I loved that the books didn't focus only in one point of view. In fact the author has written novellas that talks about other characters point of view. Also I loved that there is a side story about terrorists that have a purpose to get their rights because in Illea they have a caste system that divides people depending on their number and this has created lots of harsh rules and makes the lives of people hard and miserable. The story is really interesting and will really have you thinking a lot about the lives of others.

Weaknesses:

I think what I hated the most about the book is America's secret lover, I thought that it was absolutely unnecessary. I think that because the prince has an amazing personality and really cares about America. The secret lover also loved America and also had a great personality. The two men have very different personalities that makes them unique and likable which makes it hard for America to choose. So if I were to change something it would definitely be removing the secret lover because that made everything more complicated than needed. Other than that I think it is a great trilogy.

My Opinion:

I personally loved the books and so do others who have read them. The story is really unique and every page is more interesting than the other. I would definitely recommend it to others. I also loved that the author added on to the story where she talks about the daughter of Maxon and America. Where there will be another selection process but this time its the next queen of Illea about to choose her future husband.
