The Upside of Falling by Alex Light

Summary:

The main characters are Becca and Brett. They are fun, and the story shares their family dynamics in a upbeat and cute novel. Becca believes this to be as close to happy as she’ll get, while Brett doesn’t have such a cynical view… until he does. Throughout the story we hope that it will have a rosy ending, but it is not exactly the case. Just because you want something to go back to normal doesn’t mean that it will happen, and their story demonstrates this very well.

Strengths

I felt all the emotions and felt everything she described. I loved falling in love with the characters. I can’t wait to see if there is a sequel. it was very sweet and honestly felt very pure.

Weaknesses:

But, I think there wasn't so much going on with the plot which is the main reason this only has four stars. Anyways, I really did love this book, I read the whole thing in one sitting and it was overall just really cute. I'm not gonna lie, it's a little cliché at first, so I'll put it this way for everyone who still hasn't read the book and wants an honest opinion.

My Opinion:

I couldn’t stop reading and since I already knew the story before it was published as a book it was even more exciting! I don’t say this often but Alex Light made a great Job and so far it is THE BEST book I‘ve ever read! If you like light-hearted stories that uplift rather than depress, this is just that. It surprises me in some of its conclusions, but I can also respect the change up, and as a happy end girl, hope that these revelations make for Becca and Brett as they discover The Upside of Falling.
