Wonder by P.J. Palacio

Rating: 4/5

Summary:

August Pullman is a ten-year-old boy with serious birth defects who is navigating school life. August starts school, where he meets and becomes friends with Jack. Jack and August are momentarily separated by classroom politics, but they reconcile. Julian starts turning the other kids against Jack and August after Jack punches Julian, the classroom bully, for saying hurtful things about August. As the other children become more acquainted with August, they begin to condemn Julian's cruelty. August receives a certificate at his fifth-grade graduation, and he values the sense of normalcy he has gained from his peers.

Strengths

I liked where jack , as a 10 year old, defends August , his friend , from the bullies and stands up with him in all his joys and rough times . This really inspires not only me all people especially friends to stick together in need and help one another.

Weaknesses:

To be honest wonder is a great book and a movie both were interesting to read and watch and loved every part of the story.

My Opinion:

I agree with the author that the little boy, particularly jack, when he saw august, even with the birth defects, their friendship was pure and sweet, and that people should always look at each other on the basis of their personalities, not their appearances.
