A Secret Message

I went to school like normal, I know every day is supposed to be different but today was definitely very different than usual. It was a rainy day, unexpected in the UAE, but I went to school normally and entered class. I found the class empty, it was like no one had been there since last week. I smelled like rotten gas was filling the room and of course I was so weirded out, so I decided to open the window, even though it was raining.

I wouldn't normally be alone in class, like there has to be someone, but no one was there. I just brushed it off and went to my seat, got my iPad out and thought I'd just finish my unfinished work till class starts. After a few minutes I realized there was something written on my table, as if a child wrote on it, and it said “you’re going to be alone forever”. I was like, that doesn’t even make sense, only if there was an apocalypse and I was the only one alone in the world, but that wouldn’t happen would it?

I thought it was just someone joking, but I realize that class had already started and the teacher hadn’t come, neither the students, or I shall say my classmates. Then I thought to myself for five minutes. I rushed to the reception, but no one was there.. as if the whole school was haunted or something, then I was feeling a little scared… who wouldn’t be in this situation? And I just sat on the floor thinking of what could’ve happened. After a few minutes I felt my eyelids getting heavy, I couldn’t keep them open, and then I kept hearing my name “Noor…. Noor….. Noor…”. “NOOR?!”

I never woke up so fast in my life… and just realized it was all just a dream and I was in class, asleep. I felt humiliated, I looked at my classmates and the window and there was no rain and surprisingly nothing was written on the table.
