A Trip to the Enchanted Lake

Leo Grey is a well-known adventurist and hunter from Sydney, Australia, who has been famous for finding ancient ruins. One day, while he was looking up his next destination to explore on the internet while sipping his cup of coffee, he came across a legend titled "the lake where a big sea monster lives". The title itself intrigued Leo’s curiosity, so he started to look more into it. After some research about this so-called "enchanted lake," he found out that not only have people spotted the sea creature multiple times around the area, but he also found someone who claims that the water of the lake can heal any wound, no matter how bad it is. As much as the title itself caught his eye, this part made sure that the lake was definitely his next destination. The following day, Leo booked his flight to Germany, where the lake is located, according to the article he read. Leo began to pack up his bag- pack along with other necessary things, ready and excited to start this adventure. In the hopes of capturing this sea creature everyone is talking about, he got on the first plane to Germany. That’s when his journey actually kicked off. About 22 hours had passed since the time Leo got onto the plane, yet they still had an hour left to reach Germany. Leo couldn’t bear to sleep with all the thoughts running through his head about what he could possibly come across during this quest. He decided to research more about this monster’s traits. He found out that the monster had huge fins that were approximately 15 inches thick, around 3 meters tall, and without realizing it, an hour had passed already, as the pilot informed the passengers to get ready for landing. Passing through the airport, he was stopped by the officers because his bag contained dangerous materials such as guns and knives. They wouldn’t let him in unless he showed them that he had legal rights to carry these weapons with him. That’s when Leo had no choice but to call one of his relatives that lived around the area to bring him his hunting license, which he had left at their house the last time he came to Germany. He waited around 3 hours in the custody of the airport officers until his cousin arrived. He showed the license to the officer. After they checked if the license was fabricated or not, they let him go along with his weapons as soon as they made sure that the license was real. Leo’s cousin, Ernst Grey, was also an adventurist just like him, so when he told Ernst the reason for his sudden visit, Ernst got interested in knowing more about this "enchanted lake", so he asked Leo if he could accompany him on his journey. Without hesitation, Leo agreed to take his cousin with him, because he knew that both of them shared the same passion for good adventure. After a short rest, Leo and Ernst set off on their adventure together. They followed the map north, east, south, and west all the way until they found themselves in the middle of a massive forest in the middle

of the night, so they decided to camp there for the night, and so they did. The next morning, Leo woke up early to cook some breakfast for himself and Ernst. A short while after, Ernst woke up to the mouth- drooling smell of an early morning breakfast, and his hunch was right. He saw Leo splitting the food into two plates. He went and sat next to his cousin with a smile on his face, as they both ate their first breakfast together.

Subsequent to that, they packed all their belongings and carried on their mission. They walked through the thick green forest not too long after that, they spotted a huge savanna field, filled with lions as an unexpected turn of events. Luckily, the lions were still sound asleep, so they had to make it across the field without waking the lions up, else they wouldn’t be able to move on.

Leo led the way through the lions as Ernst tried to follow him as quiet as possible, and just as they were about to cross safely Ernst accidentally cracked a tree branch that was on the ground which caused one of the lions to wake up, the second their eyes met the lion rawr-ed as he saw two humans on their ground and ran to ambush them, Leo and Ernst started to run for their lives as the lion was on their tail, it caught Ernst by the foot and bit a small part of his leg off causing Ernst to yell due to the pain, luckily. That was enough for the lion and so he left, Leo saw Ernst’s state and cursed under his breath begging to find this enchanted lake any minute now in hopes that it’s water can actually cure Ernst’s wound, else Ernst would have to replace his leg with a mechanical one.

In Leo’s favor, the reason for the lion running away wasn’t actually because he had had enough, but because his eyes met those of the lake monster, who had heard the screaming and came to rescue the humans who were in danger. Ernst forgot his pain, while Leo was left speechless at the sight they were able to witness. The legendary sea creature came to their rescue, and from the looks of it, it seemed like it was trying to help them, as it offered them to get on his back, and so Leo dragged Ernst onto the creature’s back.

As soon as both of them were on the beast’s back, it started moving at a faster pace than the boys had expected, knowing that it was supposed to be a sea creature. A few seconds later, they saw a huge shimmering lake which had an extraordinary color mix of blue, purple, and pink that absolutely screamed magic. The creature then rawr-ed, which caused the water to glow, and as it started to swim in the water, Ernst hollered in surprise as his wound was starting to heal itself as if nothing had happened to his leg.

Ernst and Leo couldn't believe that all the rumors about this enchanted lake were true, except for the "monster" part. This creature wasn't a monster at all, but a guardian of this forest and everyone who enters it. It also had a beautiful build, with baby blue skin, cyan-tipped fins, and round, shiny black eyes, so they named it "Healaura." Healaura took the adventurers on its back and led them to a safe shore close to where some people lived. Healaura then signaled to them to get off his back, which they did. Leo and Ernst thanked the creature for helping them and waved goodbye.

The minute Leo returned home, he couldn’t wait to tell the world about this wonderful beast and how it had helped him and Ernst. Soon after its publication, Leo’s article became a huge hit and the whole world was talking about Healaura.
