Attitude of Gratitude Brings Great Things

It all started when a rich man lived with his only child in a beautiful house. The man was financially stable and had no one to support financially except for his son. Due to his wife passing away.

For months the son was asking his father for a new car as a gift for his graduation. Knowing that his father had more than enough money to get him whatever car he wanted. When graduation day came, the father called his son into his office. The father handed him a wrapped gift and said, “congratulations son, on your graduation, I'm very proud of you”. Looking disappointed, the son opened the gift to find a lovely journal with his name written on the cover of it. He angrily threw down the journal and raised his voice as he stormed out of the office.

The son hadn’t spoken to his father for a week. His father felt very unappreciated and disrespected. Suddenly the father got very sick and was brought to a hospital near by. His son had no idea that his father was incredibly sick until the hospital called him. He came rushing to the hospital because of how terrified he was. When he was able to see him, he saw that his father was holding the journal he gave him a week ago on his chest.

The son was confused. The father said to his son, “open it and see what’s inside”. The son was shocked when he saw a letter from his mother who had passed away. The father said, “your mother made me promise that I’ll give it to you on your graduation day as your graduation gift".

The son’s tears rushed down his face immediately after he heard his father say those words. He felt very guilty because he thought a car would be a greater gift than a letter from his mother who had passed away.

His father told him, “no matter what you expect, be grateful for what your given, it may be more of a blessing than you think”.
