My Disappointing Life - Part 1-3

PART 1

Family and friends and all who you loved in the end, someone will trade you one day. You can’t trust everyone, you are all going to die and live sadly ever after. You will see one day.

I was just 8 years old when my mother died, and it was a mystery death, and no one knows how she passed away. Her body was found covered in blood. This is when the real story begins. My father married a woman because he thought that I needed someone to take care of me, but what he didn’t know was that I am the one who takes care of everything.

It’s been 3 years since my mother passed away and after those three years, my father passed away too. My stepmother was violent towards me, and that was the day I decided to run away. I was just a girl that was 19 years old and didn’t want to be controlled by anyone. I wanted to live my life away from this crazy woman. I still remember that cold night when I escaped from home, it was a dark and gloomy night. The thing I didn’t understand was how possible it was, that the moon was red and not white. After that, I saw a big truck that was coming towards me, I was so terrified that I couldn’t even move. I was smiling because all I could think about was that this is the day that I am finally going to see my parents after all this time, finally I will see them again so soon.

Everything was dark, I opened my eyes, I was sleeping in a big bed. It was a fluffy bed. I stood up and saw myself in the mirror, I saw a girl with lovely yellow hair like the sun, and green eyes like an emerald. It was a dream come true. I was so scared that I yelled very loud. I ran outside the room and looked around, searching for something or someone who I know. But there was something wrong. There was blood all over the place with people screaming and running all around me. There was an army holding up shields and swords. There was a man with white hair like the snow and blue eyes like the sea. He was staring at me with cold eyes. He stepped towards me, in fear I wanted to run away but my body wasn’t listening to me. I was shivering while he slowly held the sword up, pointing it towards my neck. He said in a low voice “give up, don’t resist, princess Jey”. I kept repeating it in my mind, what is he talking about? Me, a princess?

A familiar voice said, “wait don’t kill her yet, maybe we can use her for something”.

I fell down on my knees begging him to let me live. Maybe this is my only chance to live my life the way I want to. He looked me in the eye and said, “if I let you live, will you do everything I say?”.

I replied weakly, “yes, please let me live and I will do whatever you want me to.”

He grinned at me “how could I trust that you won’t run away?”

The knight told him, “we can give her a bracelet, if she tries to run away the bracelet will shine and it’s going to hurt a lot”.

He replied to the knight, “if she tried or even thought that she could escape I will make her suffer in my own way”.

I can’t even imagine how much it will hurt, just listening to him say this made my heart stop.

PART 2

The idea of the bracelet, it still is a bad idea. The right-hand knight took my hands and tied them with ropes. He then threw me into the carriage, and he sat on the horse. It had been almost an hour of me sitting and waiting for our arrival. I was thinking about how I got to this place. I was looking outside and all I could see were trees all over the place. Suddenly the knight appeared and said “don’t be afraid of him he is always like this”, and smiled. I was confused- Was he a bad guy or a good guy?

I saw a huge palace. It was so beautiful. We stopped in front of the door and the knight said, “you people have to go inside to see the emperor, he will design what you are going to do", suddenly I heard steps and people speaking in a very low voice saying, “oh no, I heard that he is not merciful and if he wants he will kill everyone”.

“Oh no, I am so afraid”, what is happening? Should I run away so that I don’t die or stay still? I am confused!

...step...step...the door opened and then I saw the white-haired man. Wait a second, the white-haired man is the emperor? This can’t be possible, what is happening, maybe he will change his mind and want to kill me? Suddenly our eyes met and he smiled creepily as he turned and sat on his chair while staring at me. He said “I need knight’s for the palace, these men will go with James, so you will learn how to be a loyal knight. Maybe we will need some maid’s, so take the women and teach them what they have to learn”, wait the name of the right-hand knight is James? What I am saying, oh my gosh, being a maid is better than death.

"Wait”, the emperor said, “leave the princess here I have another job for her”

What do you mean by saying another job, I am so scared, could this be the end?

"I need someone that knows how to treat the knight” he said this and looked at me.

I pointed at myself and said, “do you want me to treat the knight?”

He said, “I have heard that you are good at healing people, if not, there's no need for you to stay alive anymore. I’ll throw you with the wolves in the dark forest!”

“No, I am really good at healing people, I will do my best to help you!” I didn’t think of what I should say, I just said it.

He replied, “okay but don’t think of trying to escape.”

“What escape? No way! I will stay in place” and that’s what I said. I will do anything to live.

“Jesse come and show this girl her room”, he demanded to the maid.

She said, “as you wish your highness.”

“Come with me, I will show you the way.”

I didn’t have anything else to do, so I followed her to the room. It was little with no windows and a bed as hard as a rock.

She said, “this is your room, get some rest and tomorrow you will start working”. That was all she said. She turned around and left.

What should I do? I am not really good at healing, but I will try my best to stay alive. “Wake up you lazy woman, it’s time for work!”

What is happening? I had a nightmare about a emperor that wanted to kill me.

“I said wake up, or else the emperor will get angry!” Jesse said.

What, that was not a dream!?

“First, you need to clean the barn" the knight said.

I replied with, “but the empress said I am going to treat the knight?”

“He doesn’t trust you yet, so he is afraid that you are going to kill someone and not treat them, so, go and clean now and don’t talk back”.

PART 3

Finally I finished cleaning the barn. I want to go get some rest but first I need to take a shower, I smell like the horses.

* neighing neighing *

"What is that it is a creepy voice? It’s like something that get hurt”, I followed the voice ,then I saw a horse screaming in pain. I got closer to the horse, I wasn’t the only one that was scared- he was scared too. I tried to touch him but he was screaming. What is this smell? It’s like blood, I saw the floor and it was covered with blood. What should I do, he will not let me touch him?

“Sssh sssh, don’t be afraid. I am not going to hurt you, it’s all going to be fine, don’t worry”. I touch his face, and I fondly said, “it’s all going to be just fine”.

“What you think you are doing?” someone said.

I turn around and I see a man standing. He said, “how are you and what are you doing?”

I reply, “I am J…”

"you are J?, what kind of name is this??”

I don’t want to tell him my name. If I tell him he will know that I am the princess. I need to change my name, “I am Jessica”. This is all that I could think of.

“All right Jessica, I am Jason, I'm responsible for the horses in the barn. What are you doing?”

“I heard some noise and I saw this horse lying here, is he sick or something?”

“he has been like this for two days and no one knows what happened to him, so you need to go away from him.”

“No, if he didn’t get the medication he will die, I can’t let this happen!”

“You are not a veterinary you don’t know anything about this, now leave him alone!” “Wait I know what I should do if you didn’t lite me heal him he will die please let me help him” “what do you want in return?” “What I don’t want anything I just want him to live can’t you see that?” “ok, what should I do?” “first I need some towels for the blood and some water, second we need some certain type of weed but maybe you don’t have it here” “*ha ha* there are no weeds that we don’t have in the castle, tell me which one you need and I will bring it for you” “will I need the snow flower, do you have it?” “What the snow flower will be as you know this kind of flower is hard to find so... “So, you don’t have it, you can say that” “yes, we don’t have the snow flower, but there is a place that you can get this flower, but it is dangerous” “just say where I can find the flower there is no time to waste” “it’s the death mountain” “the death mountain?” “it is that big and cold mountain no man have go there and return alive” no man have go there and return alive that means that there is no chance for me being alive but he will die “but I am not a man I am a woman and I am going to there and bring that snow flower for the horse” I said with trust “are you crazy you can’t go there is too dangerous” he said I replied “if you don’t know I am the crazy woman, I can do whatever I want if I wanted to” I said and I turned my head and left I didn’t look back “wait oh you are really a crazy woman, I will come with you, but we should go by a horse it will be faster” “yes, but from where we will bring the horse? “There are two horses in the barn we will take them then we will return them” “ok then let’s go now” don’t worry I will be back soon as possible *neighing neighing*. This mountain is so cold now I know why they call it the death mountain, “we should stop here we can’t move any further, the horses can’t endure the cold” “then let’s tide the horses by a rope at that tree” it’s better than nothing.

PART 3

I don’t want to tell him my name. If I tell him he will know that I am the princess. I need to change my name, “I am Jessica”, this was all that I could think of.

“All right Jessica, I am Jason, I’m responsible for the horses in the barn what are you doing”

“I heard some noise and I saw this horse lying here, is he sick or something?”

“Well, I need the snow flower, do you have it?” “What, the snow flower will be difficult, as you know this kind of flower is hard to find so...”

“So, you don’t have it, you can say that?”

“Yes, we don’t have the snow flower, but there is a place that you can get this flower, but it is dangerous.”

“Just say where I can find the flower, there is no time to waste!” “It’s on the death mountain…”

“The death mountain?”

“It is that big and cold mountain, no man has gone there and returned alive” No man has gone there and returned alive, that means that there is no chance for me being alive… but he will die.

“But, I am not a man, I am a woman, and I am going to go there and bring that snow flower for the horse!” I said with trust.

“Are you crazy, you can’t go there! It is too dangerous!” he said. I replied “if you don’t know, I am the crazy woman, I can do whatever I want if I wanted to!” I said and I turned my head and left. I didn’t look back.

“Wait, oh you are really a crazy woman, I will come with you, but we should go by a horse it will be faster.”

“Yes, but from where will we get the horse?”

“There are two horses in the barn, we will take them then we will return them.”

“Ok, then let’s go now”, “don’t worry I will be back soon as possible”

*neighing neighing*.

This mountain is so cold, now I know why they call it the death mountain. “We should stop here, we can’t move any further, the horses can’t endure the cold!”

“Then let’s tie the horses with a rope to that tree, it’s better than nothing.”
