Reality vs Dreams

Hearing loud strange noises, bangs on the door, and eerie strange footsteps 7 minutes after midnight. I was afraid to get out of bed and investigate these strange noises. I keep hearing the noises in the night, and each time it happens, I become more and more frightened.

At this point, I decided to gather my wits and investigate the source of the noises. I was terrified as I walked downstairs. I couldn't see anything because the lights were out, and all I could hear were these sounds.

Suddenly, while walking through the massive dark building, I heard my sister's hazy voice calling out the name Shahad, which I couldn't figure out from where she was calling, suddenly my phone rang. I was confused and didn't move a step. I had no idea what was going on, where my sister went, nor what these ringing sounds mean.

I awoke unexpectedly from my slumber. My alarm was set, a friend was calling and my sister was shouting my name. I'm 20 minutes late for work, it turns out.
