Rob's Cake

It’s missing.

Where is it? I swear I put it right there! It was sitting in the fridge with my name on it! I’m pretty sure I’d remember eating it if I had which means I didn’t take it, so where is my cake? Someone must’ve stolen it! I’m sure of it but who was in on break from this morning to now? Amber, Cate, Zain, Finn, and Lilith. I need to ask them.

I’ll start with Amber.

“Hey Amber!”

“What is it Rob, I’m in the middle of something”

“Have you by any chance seen my cake?”

“The red velvet one that was in the fridge?”

“Yes that one!”

“I thought it was still in there?”

“No, seems like it’s gone missing.”

“Not sure what I can do about that Rob”

So I leave to try and weasel it out of the others. Sadly, I have different versions of the same conversation with everyone else. I’ve decided to retaliate. So the next day I show up with the same cake but I replaced the frosting with mayonnaise and I’ve but chopped up chilis instead of chopped strawberries on top. The cake goes in the fridge, I sit at my desk and wait, and wait, and wait.

“WHAT ON EARTH!?” Lilith screams impressively loudly.

In her mouth is my doctored cake, bingo. I’ve caught my prey, and that my friends is how I caught the office food thief!
