This is a story that has actually happened to me back in KG 2, I think I was 5 years old then.
School had just finished and I wanted to go to the bathroom before going to the bus. When I finally reached the bathroom I thought to myself, “I’m a big girl now, I should lock the doors like an adult!” Big mistake, I wasn’t used to locking the door so I completely forgot about the fact that I did and expected it to be unlocked.
Once I finished I tried opening it… it doesn’t open? I tried multiple times but it didn’t open, I then remembered locking the door.
*click*
It didn’t open, I tried multiple times but the door wouldn’t open.
I got scared so I started crying and banging on the door and turning the handles. The whole time I was just thinking “what if the bus left”, “what if my parents noticed I wasn’t home”, “what if I get locked here my whole life”. Then again I was just a child so it’s a normal thought process. I tried to unlock it using the lock again and the door opened, I was turning the wrong way and that’s why it didn’t open. A wave of relief rushed through me, when I turned around I saw the security looking at me in such shock.
I just quickly ran so I wouldn’t miss the bus.
