Once upon a time there was a boy named Qin and his best friend Xing the wolf. The two were exploring the woods when suddenly Qin trips over what appears to be an elevated piece of land but it turned out to be a treasure chest buried in the ground.
Inside the treasure chest was a map leading to treasure. “Xing do you know what this means? If we find the treasure, we can pay for my mom's medical bills," Qin said. The two then decided to look for the treasure, but little did they know they weren't the only ones. Outside of Qin's knowledge, a strange man with a large grey hat overheard the commotion that was brewing.
"Could that be the legendary treasure I heard about?" the man thought, "I should follow them."
The two set off on their journey with a strange man following them shortly after. After hours of walking the sun set and it appeared to be time to call it a day, so they started a fire and slept on the most comfortable patch of grass they could find. The man, seizing his opportunity, decided to attack them in their sleep. Xing noticed the man and started howling loudly.
"What's wrong Xing?", Qin said groggily as he awoke from his slumber.
Qin, realizing the situation he's in, snaps out of his sleepy state and tries to protect his companion from the oncoming attacker. The man with his stronger build had no trouble dealing with the child, but Xing would not allow any harm to come his best friend's way. He then lunged at the man and bit a chunk of his arm off.
Bewildered, the man decided to flee as he valued his life more than the treasure. The next day they continued on their journey and after several hours they stumbled across the treasure. To their dismay the chest was empty, their search was for naught. With their newfound disappointment they travelled back home only to find their mother in a critical condition.
After a few minutes of tearful goodbyes the mother passed away. Years later Zing met a cruel fate leaving Qin a sad bitter old man.
