Your body language may shape who you are by Amy Cuddy

Watch the TED Talk here.

Summary:

This ted talk is really powerful and it has such a wonderful affect on people. It talks about how your body language might shape who you are and how it can affect people's point of view on you. It also mentions the power of posing and how standing in confidence can boost your confidence even if you don't feel like it, as the presenter mentions "fake it till you make it". She also talks about how standing in confidence can make you feel powerful and there are powerful poses and low power poses.

What did you learn?

I learnt that our non-verbal's govern how we feel and think about ourselves and also our bodies change our minds. And also when presenting a speech its not about the content of the speech as she mentions it about the presence and about being passionate and being confident while presenting it.

How will you use the information?

I feel that this will benefit me a lot in the future with my poses and confidence. Since really posing affects how people view you and i think they ted talk will really boost my confidence if i used the tips which i will probably since i find them really helpful. I feel like ill be running around owning the place without having a feeling of low self. I also think that the main thing is to actually fake it till it becomes real.

Who would enjoy this TED Talk?

I think that a person that will really benefit from this ted talk is someone with low-self esteem or someone that doesn't feel confident around people and someone that feels that they're not goof enough. This ted talk will really change their mindset and will boost their confidence around people.
