Summary:
The talk was about confidence. How to believe in yourself and never give up no matter what others think, other people's opinions is just a point of view that you don't have to force yourself to believe, it could be helpful for you where it can improve something and start again but never stop on that point. Zibby also adds her own story where she has lost confidence, it actually when she submitted her first draft as her final speech she was displaying the dark side of confidence the side where she believes that her talk was perfect without revisions, but sadly every single person who reviewed her talk asked her to go through almost everything. She regretted everything, she wished that she didn't apply to talk from the beginning and all of that wouldn't happen in the first place. Then she realized that confidence comes by practice it's not a part of a personality or so, it is a matter of practice. "Confidence cannot simply be solved with a superhero pose or a smile in the mirror it takes work time and effort and it is always possible".
What did you learn?
I learned that confidence is not a part of a person's personality, but instead, it is a skill that can be mastered like anything in this world. Practicing and never stopping or giving up is the key to mastering anything, as they say, “Practice makes perfect”. Believing in yourself first, planning, trying to be positive, always being ready for the worse to get through almost everything.
How will you use the information?
This talk added a lot to my plans, in the way that I think of, how to plan any action to expect both bad and good feedback or impact..
Who would enjoy this talk?
Your sense of confidence or lack of confidence arrives when giving an explanation or speaking to the listener. Therefore, I advise everyone to listen to this talk, especially for students. Confidence is not only required in professional life but is more required in daily social life.
